Jousters
Jousters Childcare are Ofsted registered and provide breakfast & after school care at High Beeches School
All children attending the school from reception class through to year 6 are welcome to join us subject to availability.
We are open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to the start of school and from the end of the school day to 6pm.
While children are in our care we believe Jousters has an opportunity to support children with their social skills such as sharing, taking turns, being polite and respecting each other and staff.
We work closely with the children's teachers to make sure each child has the best care possible. We believe children should be able to join in with a range of fun activities and should be encouraged to play, create, build and do, or simply relax & socialise with their friends.
Food - Children are offered a healthy vegetarian breakfast & an afternoon snack, children choose from toast and cereal each morning and a sandwich or rice cake with spreads, fruit and vegetables during the afternoon session.
Parents can pay by childcare vouchers, Gov tax scheme bacs transfer or by cheque.
Covid Update
As you would expect, ensuring we help protect the health, safety, and well being of the children in our care, their families, and our staff (as well as wider public health), will be our absolute priority. The measures we need to adopt will inevitably impact the children’s enjoyment. But we have tried to do all we can to minimise that.
Matched School Bubbles
To reduce contacts and maximise distancing children will be organised in year group ‘bubbles with key members of staff allocated to each group.
Breakfast club - Children will each be allocated a year group table where children will eat and play with constructions toys, colouring and games, they will go straight from their table to their class.
After School
Each year group will have its own area with a table and floor space allocated to it. We will aim to play outside for as much of the session as possible., consequently much of the free-choice in play will no longer be available.
Each group will have its own set of play equipment allocated to it for the week. This will be cleaned and rotated at the end of each week.
From January until the end of the spring term Jousters will be closing at 6pm each day
