School Development PlanThe governing body and school leadership continuously review the effectiveness of the school and lead the process of ongoing improvement. This takes account of pupil outcomes, the most recent OFSTED inspection and support from other partners such as Herts for Learning. Following a recent strategic review in 2025/26, we have identified the following priorities for the school over the medium to long-term: 1. To prepare High Beeches learning community (pupils and staff) for their future (a) To embed our revised school values into provision and practice (b) To develop pupils’ emotional mastery (c) To provide an ambitious and broad curriculum, maximising pupils’ attainment and progress in reading, writing and mathematics (d) To provide real and practical experiences or contexts for pupils to learn or apply their learning (e) To maintain and strengthen links with groups and organisations outside of the school
2. To contribute to and respond flexibly to the changing educational landscape, impacting on the local community (a) To ensure the schools resources are managed efficiently and with maximum impact (b) To explore and develop best practice in teaching and learning (c) To provide and engage with the highest quality professional development and learning (d) To find and incorporate innovative solutions to educational challenges (e) To be informed about and involved with relevant strategic and organisational changes at a local and national level
Our short-term improvement plans for each year are identified in the School Development Plan. |
