High Beeches is an expanding two form entry community primary school. It was opened in 1975. The building features bright, stimulating classrooms, a well equipped hall, a dining room, a peaceful study base and library areas.
All members of the community work together to ensure that the indoor areas are stimulating and supportive of high quality learning.
Our outdoor areas are extensive, comprising of a large multi purpose sports field / grass area, a hard playground, a playtrail, train, climbing frame and three environmental areas. Children and adults play a vital role in developing and enhancing the outdoor environment. The school grounds are used to support the children's learning through a wide variety of activities from sports to nature study to art and design.
At High Beeches we celebrate achievement in all its forms and have high expectations for all children. We believe that children must feel secure and well-cared for to learn effectively. We value effort and believe that children should feel safe to make mistakes and accept errors and misunderstandings as a positive part of the learning process. Our approach to child development
We take a holistic view of children’s development, focusing on the whole child. Whilst we value academic progress and aim for the highest standards, it is also our duty to support and promote children’s social, emotional and physical development. It is important to understand that rights come in partnership with responsibilities. We believe that members of our community should demonstrate pride in their school, in their appearance and behaviour. It is our duty to actively promote health, fitness, personal safety, environmental awareness and a collective responsibility for our world.Performance Table
